About Kézia
Kézia Paz is a music therapist. She is studying for a master’s degree in social change and political participation at the University of São Paulo, has specialised in health sciences including violence prevention (FCM-Santa Casa-SP), and is a postgraduate in political science (Escola Tribunal de Contas Municipal). She works as a mental health music therapist in the Brazilian health system (SUS) and is a music therapist at Casa de Marias where she provides individual counselling and coordinates therapeutic groups mediated by music and musical experiences, with a focus on working with black and peripheral women, children and young people.
